Leeds breaks Tottenham's three-game winning streak with Okafor goal
Tottenham suffered a 1-0 defeat at Leeds on Saturday, ending a run of three consecutive victories. Noah Okafor, introduced as a substitute, scored the match's only goal in the 79th minute.
Leeds ended Tottenham’s impressive run with a 1-0 victory on Saturday, thanks to a goal from Noah Okafor in the 79th minute. The Spurs, who had won three consecutive matches against Coventry, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, left Elland Road empty-handed.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side had reason for regret. Late in the first half, a severe foul on Mathys Tel went unpunished by the referee, a decision that fueled London frustration. Despite this perceived injustice, Tottenham failed to force a result and ultimately succumbed to Okafor’s sole strike, barely minutes after coming on.
For Leeds, this victory ended a run of five matches without a win and propels the club to 8th place in the standings, ahead of Tottenham who now sit in 10th.
