Idder called up for first time, six major absences at PSG before Troyes
Luis Enrique brings 18-year-old attacking midfielder Younes Idder into PSG's senior squad for the home match against Troyes (Matchday 10 of Ligue 1), with six key players absent including Marquinhos, Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia.
Paris Saint-Germain host Troyes on Saturday evening (21:05) at Parc des Princes for Matchday 10 of Ligue 1, with a squad of 20 players marked by six significant absences. It is in this context that Luis Enrique has granted his first senior team call-up to young attacking midfielder Younes Idder, 18.
A product of the Paris academy, Idder thus joins the squad of the two-time European champions for the first time. The Spanish coach has chosen to rely on several academy players to offset the unavailability, confirming a trend already observed this season: trusting the club’s young talent when circumstances demand it. It remains to be seen whether Idder will get the chance to play on the Parc des Princes pitch in this match.
On the absences front, the toll is heavy. Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembélé, Maghnes Akliouche and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are all sidelined through injury. Achraf Hakimi, meanwhile, has been rested by Luis Enrique and will not feature in the squad either.
