Zabarnyi and Mayulu left out by Luis Enrique for Brest-PSG in Ligue 1
Despite playing minutes in the UEFA Champions League this week, Illya Zabarnyi and Senny Mayulu have been excluded from the PSG squad by Luis Enrique for Sunday's away trip to Brest in Matchday 4 of Ligue 1.
Luis Enrique has left Illya Zabarnyi and Senny Mayulu out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the trip to Brest on Sunday evening in the closing match of Matchday 4 of Ligue 1. The two players had nonetheless featured for minutes in the UEFA Champions League just days earlier.
The Spanish coach had made his position clear at the start of the season: competition is more intense than ever at Paris Saint-Germain, and not all squad members can expect a place in the matchday group for every game. Zabarnyi and Mayulu are paying the price this weekend, despite their recent involvement in European competition.
Two other absences complete the list. Quentin Ndjantou remains unavailable, with no further details provided on his situation. Alessandro Longoni, meanwhile, is ruled out through injury.
PSG travel to Stade Brestois, the reigning double European champions, for this match that closes the fourth matchday of the championship.
