Olympique de Marseille has reached a personal agreement with Jean-Clair Todibo, according to L’Équipe. The 26-year-old centre-back, who has just completed a difficult season at West Ham — a club relegated to the Championship — is ready to join the Phocaean club to revive his career in France.
A year after leaving OGC Nice in the summer of 2025, Todibo is seeking a more favourable environment. Marseille, which has not yet officially announced any signings in this summer transfer window despite significant financial constraints, could thus seal its first arrival of the summer.
The agreement between the player and the club remains conditional. Marseille must now reach an understanding with the Hammers on the transfer terms. A loan with salary coverage is being considered, but this option would only be viable on the condition that certain Marseille squad players leave the club first. Negotiations between the two clubs have not yet concluded.
