Paris FC secured their third victory of the season by dominating Strasbourg 2-1 at Jean-Bouin on Saturday in Matchday 5 of Ligue 1. The Paris club, still unbeaten, provisionally moves into second place in the standings, two points behind leaders Monaco.

Rosenior’s side delivered a controlled first half, concluded by a sublime goal from Kebbal in the 18th minute. After the break, Pagis doubled the lead in the 57th minute to put the Parisians out of reach. Strasbourg pulled one back in added time through an unfortunate own goal by Mbow (88th), but this did not change the outcome of the match.

With nine points from five matches, Paris FC confirms their excellent start to the season and establishes themselves as serious contenders in the race for European places. Strasbourg, meanwhile, remain in sixth place in the standings.
