Frank McCourt, owner of Olympique de Marseille, has put his Boca Raton villa in Florida up for sale for $125 million. If the transaction closes at that price, it would shatter the city’s real estate record, currently set at $75 million.

According to specialist media House Trackers, McCourt acquired the still-unfinished property in 2024 before overseeing its construction. His family reportedly decided to prefer his equestrian center in Wellington, located nearby, which would explain the sale.

The residence displays a standard in line with its price: seven bedrooms, a 24-meter mosaic pool and a dock capable of accommodating a 30-meter yacht.

This real estate transaction comes in a contrasting sporting context for OM. After five consecutive defeats in Ligue 1, the Marseille club returned to winning ways by beating Troyes (2-0) and then Angers (5-2). On the European stage, however, Bruno Genesio’s men remain on three losses, against Besiktas (4-1), Olympiacos (0-1) and Sturm Graz (1-0).

No link has been established between this sale and the future of the Marseille club, but the transaction will not fail to fuel speculation around the American owner.
