Luis Campos will not be able to take his place on the PSG bench for the next Ligue 1 match. The LFP’s disciplinary commission announced on Wednesday, September 9, a one-match suspension against the Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor, sanctioning his conduct during Lille-PSG (2-2), played on August 28.

In its statement, the LFP cited the following reason: “Conduct of Mr. Luis CAMPOS, Sporting Advisor of Paris Saint-Germain. One match suspension from the touchline bench, referee’s dressing room and all official functions.” The body did not specify the exact nature of the facts alleged against the executive.

This sanction will take effect from PSG’s next Ligue 1 match, the away trip to Brest scheduled for Sunday, September 13 at 8:45 p.m. Campos will therefore be absent from the bench and barred from all official functions for this match.

LOSC president Olivier Létang is also in the sights of the disciplinary commission. Following the match, he strongly criticized referee Éric Wattellier for having allowed more added time than initially announced — extra time that PSG had used to equalize and secure the draw. Létang subsequently sent several particularly scathing emails to the FFF and LFP during the night following the match.

Already sanctioned in the past, the Lille executive has since been summoned by the disciplinary commission. He could this time face a heavier penalty than the one imposed on Luis Campos.
