Doué contract extension at PSG: no talks underway despite deal until 2029
Two-time Champions League winner with PSG and 2025 Golden Boy Désiré Doué has yet to begin negotiations with the Parisian club over a contract extension, despite being tied to them until June 2029.
Désiré Doué has yet to begin discussions with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a contract extension, according to insider Djamel, who is well-informed on club matters. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is nonetheless tied to the Red and Blue until June 2029.
Arriving from Rennes in summer 2024 for €50 million — after resisting Bayern Munich’s advances — the Angers native has since elevated his game significantly. He has won the Ligue des Champions twice with Paris, claimed the Golden Boy trophy in 2025, and featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the France national team.
Unlike his teammates Joao Neves and Willian Pacho, who arrived the same summer and have already been extended, Doué has not yet followed suit. A situation beginning to concern some Paris supporters, even though the current contract presents no immediate urgency.
“No discussions have been opened between the club and Désiré Doué’s camp regarding an extension,” the insider clarified on X, before adding: “The club will probably open this file soon, but that is not yet the case today, which explains the lack of information on the subject.”
Doué should in any case play a third season at Paris. The continuation of his adventure in the capital remains, for now, an open question.
