Tzolis tells Manchester United he would welcome Old Trafford move this summer
Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis has publicly stated he would find it hard to turn down Manchester United, after a season in which the 24-year-old Greece international scored 22 goals and registered 29 assists across all competitions.
Christos Tzolis has told a Belgian newspaper he would be open to joining Manchester United, describing the club as “massive” and saying it would be “hard to say no” — though the Greek winger is not currently on United’s shortlist.
Tzolis, 24, has had a remarkable season at Club Brugge since joining from Fortuna Düsseldorf in the summer of 2024, contributing 22 goals and 29 assists across all competitions. Speaking to Het Nieuwsblad, he was direct about his ambitions: “United could convince me. Such a massive club with so much history. It would be hard to say no to that.”
The Greece international also outlined the conditions under which he would consider leaving Brugge, insisting Champions League football would be a prerequisite. “It would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy. Only PSG is a better option than those clubs,” he said. United secured Champions League qualification for next season, which would satisfy that requirement.
Tzolis also appeared to rule out a move to Crystal Palace, who had been linked with him earlier in the season. “The Crystal Palace train has already left the station for me,” he said.
United have previously been credited with an interest in the winger, and a left winger is understood to be among their summer priorities — though the club is expected to address central midfield first. Casemiro is set to leave when his contract expires at the end of next month, and United have been linked with Atalanta’s Ederson, Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson as potential midfield additions. Anderson, valued at around £100 million, is also reportedly a target for Manchester City.
Whether United move for Tzolis will likely depend on how their midfield business unfolds, but the player himself has made his interest clear.
