Twelve Guinness World Records: PSG Makes History in World Football
After two consecutive UEFA Champions League titles and unprecedented dominance in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain has officially registered twelve collective and individual records in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Paris Saint-Germain has officially entered the Guinness Book of World Records with twelve entries — seven collective and five individual — cementing two seasons that have redefined the standards of European and French football.
On the continental stage, the Parisian club became the first team to score 45 goals in a single UEFA Champions League edition, and now holds the largest victory margin in a Champions League final following its 5-0 win over Inter Milan in 2025. PSG is also the second team in the modern era to win two consecutive Champions League titles.
In Ligue 1, records accumulate across multiple generations. The team recorded a 39-match unbeaten run away from home between 2023 and 2025, an absolute first in the championship’s history. It now has 14 French league titles, improving its own record. Two milestones from the Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva era have also been officially recognized: the 96 points collected during the 2015-2016 season, an absolute Ligue 1 record for points, and a 36-match unbeaten streak in the league. The 14-game winning streak set by the Neymar and Mbappé team in 2018 completes this collective achievement list.
Five players enter the record book individually. Désiré Doué holds the record for direct goal contributions in a Champions League final with three (against Inter). Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is the only player to have been decisive in seven consecutive knockout matches in the competition. Midfielder Vitinha holds the record for successful passes in a Champions League season with 1,602. In Ligue 1, Marquinhos is the most decorated player in the championship’s history with 11 trophies, while Fabian Ruiz achieved a personal unbeaten streak of 51 matches in a PSG shirt.
