Former UFC light heavyweight champions Glover Teixeira and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua made weight Friday for their boxing debuts at Spaten Fight Night 3 in São Paulo, Brazil, with Teixeira tipping the scales at 240 pounds and Rua coming in at 230 — both inside the 242-pound limit for the eight-round contest.

The 10-pound gap gives Teixeira a meaningful size advantage heading into Saturday’s main event, though both men are stepping into a boxing ring competitively for the first time, which adds its own layer of uncertainty to the matchup.

The card’s most striking weight discrepancy came elsewhere on the card. Olympic judo gold medalist Bia Souza weighed in at 293 pounds for her rematch with Raz Hershko — a repeat of the 2024 Olympic heavyweight final — dwarfing her opponent by 33 pounds after Hershko registered 260 pounds.

Also on the card, boxers Luan Medeiros (134 pounds) and Juan Cruz (134 pounds) both made weight for their vacant WBA Fedelatin USA lightweight title fight, coming in level on the scale.
