Switzerland and Bosnia & Herzegovina square off in a Group B encounter at Los Angeles Stadium, Inglewood, with kick-off at 8pm UK time, as both sides look to recover from opening-round draws that slipped away in the closing stages.

Switzerland were held after conceding a late goal against Qatar, while Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered a similar fate against Canada, leaving both nations in need of a positive result to keep their knockout-stage ambitions alive.

Los Angeles Stadium is hosting its second World Cup fixture, having already seen the United States open their Group D campaign with a 4-1 victory over Paraguay.

Presenting from New York will be Laura Woods, joined on the punditry panel by Patrick Vieira, Juan Mata and Karen Carney.

Vieira, widely regarded as one of the finest midfielders of his generation, earned 12 major honours across spells with AC Milan, Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan and Manchester City. He was a central figure in France’s World Cup and European Championship triumphs in 1998 and 2000.

Mata, now playing for Melbourne Victory, was part of Spain’s dominant ‘tiki-taka’ era that produced back-to-back international titles between 2010 and 2012. The 38-year-old also won the Champions League with Chelsea and the Europa League with Manchester United.

Carney completes the panel, bringing experience from a decorated playing career with Arsenal, Chelsea and Birmingham City. She earned more than 100 caps for England and represented her country at eight major tournaments before retiring in 2019.

Commentary duties fall to Joe Speight, with former Leeds United forward Lucy Ward providing expert analysis. Ward’s post-retirement work in player welfare at Elland Road is credited with contributing to the development of James Milner, Fabian Delph and Kalvin Phillips.
