Spectator kicks Danis as he leaves mat after 10-0 technical-fall loss to Tsarukyan at RAF 14
Dillon Danis suffered a 10-0 technical-fall defeat to Arman Tsarukyan in the RAF 14 main event at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Oct. 23, then appeared to be kicked by a spectator as he left the mat, with security stepping in to intervene.
Dillon Danis’s troubled night at RAF 14 extended well beyond the mat. After losing to Arman Tsarukyan by technical fall, 10-0, in the main event at Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Oct. 23, footage shared by Red Corner MMA appears to show a spectator kicking Danis as he walked off. Security personnel intervened and restrained the individual.
The defeat was one-sided from the outset, with Tsarukyan dominating the wrestling contest from start to finish to claim a comfortable technical-fall victory.
The incident capped a week of heightened tensions between the two competitors. At Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, Danis appeared wearing a T-shirt mocking Khamzat Chimaev, a close friend and training partner of Tsarukyan. The provocation prompted Tsarukyan to lunge at Danis and apparently throw a punch before security stepped in to separate them.
Danis first gained widespread attention as Conor McGregor’s jiu-jitsu training partner and was among those involved in the brawl between McGregor’s and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s camps in the immediate aftermath of UFC 229 in October 2018.
