Spain and Saudi Arabia both arrive at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for their second Group H fixture at the 2026 World Cup without a win to their name, making this a pivotal clash for both nations’ chances of advancing from the group stage. Kick-off is set for noon local time (5pm UK time).

The European champions endured a difficult opener, failing to break down tournament debutants Cape Verde in what stands as one of the biggest shocks of the summer so far. Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, led Uruguay before being pegged back to a 1-1 draw, leaving the entire group level on points heading into this second round of fixtures.

Presenter Kelly Cates will anchor the studio coverage from Salford, joined by a panel that includes former England striker Wayne Rooney, former Spain and Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta, and ex-Brentford and Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank.

Rooney remains Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer and held England’s record before Harry Kane surpassed him. Azpilicueta spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, two Europa Leagues, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Club World Cup. Frank earned widespread recognition for guiding Brentford into the Premier League and keeping them there before a brief spell at Spurs last season.

In Atlanta, Ian Dennis takes the lead commentary role, with former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson alongside him as co-commentator. Robinson earned 41 caps for the Three Lions and started every game for England at the 2006 World Cup.
