Shara Bullet grabs Michel Pereira's neck in tense UFC Baku faceoff

Shara Bullet seized the spotlight at the UFC Baku ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday, grabbing co-main event opponent Michel Pereira by the neck during a faceoff that required on-stage personnel to physically separate the two middleweights.
Footage of the incident shows Bullet — also known as Shara Magomedov — wrapping an arm around Pereira’s neck before “Demolidor” responded with a shove to Bullet’s chest. Staff moved quickly, pulling both fighters apart and keeping them at distance. The confrontation ended there, with both men leaving the stage without further incident.
The bout carries real stakes for both fighters, who are each looking to build momentum after recent setbacks. Bullet suffered the first loss of his career in February 2025, dropping a decision to Michael Page, before bouncing back with a win over Marc-André Barriault. Pereira had endured a three-fight losing streak before snapping it with a split-decision victory over Zachary Reese this past February.
The main event at UFC Baku is a lightweight clash between Rafael Fiziev and Manuel Torres.
