Real Madrid have earmarked five players for departure this summer, but the club’s sporting department expects significant resistance in at least one case, with Eduardo Camavinga determined to stay despite the club’s willingness to sell.

According to Diario AS, the exits are being planned in part to fund the four to six signings — up to four defenders and two midfielders — requested by José Mourinho, who is set to return as manager should Florentino Pérez retain the presidency in the upcoming election against Enrique Riquelme.

The simplest deal to complete is expected to be Dani Ceballos. The midfielder has long wanted to leave the Bernabéu, and Real Madrid will not block a move if an acceptable offer arrives. His departure is considered a formality compared to the complications surrounding others on the list.

Camavinga presents the most complex situation. Real Madrid are no longer convinced by the French midfielder and are prepared to sanction his sale, but Camavinga has no interest in leaving and his entourage has made clear they will make an exit as difficult as possible. With four years remaining on his contract, the club has limited leverage.

The three other players identified as potential departees are Fran García, Gonzalo García, and Franco Mastantuono. Left-back Fran García is expected to move on given the competition he faces from Álvaro Carreras and Ferland Mendy, while Gonzalo García is set to be moved due to an anticipated lack of playing time next season.

Mastantuono, the young Argentine forward, is expected to leave on loan rather than permanently. Real Madrid hope his development mirrors that of Endrick Felipe, who will return for next season and is expected to play a prominent role under the incoming manager.
