Marcus Rashford has rejected advances from Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle, insisting his only desired destination is a permanent move to Barcelona, according to Spanish outlet Sport. The 28-year-old Manchester United forward is widely expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after being frozen out of Ruben Amorim’s plans, but three Premier League clubs have already been firmly rebuffed.

Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Camp Nou, registering 28 goal contributions in a spell that earned him an England recall and a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad. That form has attracted significant interest across the Premier League, but the winger has made clear he has no appetite for any of those moves.

Barcelona’s decision to spend £69 million on Anthony Gordon has cast serious doubt over whether they will trigger their purchase option for Rashford, which is understood to be less than half that figure. With a return to United also appearing off the table, the forward finds himself in an uncertain position heading into the summer window. Chelsea are also monitoring his situation, though no formal approach has been reported.

Gordon and Rashford are now set to compete for a starting berth in Tuchel’s England setup ahead of the 2026 World Cup, adding an extra dimension to a transfer saga that shows no sign of quick resolution.

Arsenal, who need a left-winger, are pursuing alternative targets. Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers has attracted interest from the Gunners, though he is more naturally suited to central areas than a touchline role. Bournemouth teenager Eli Junior Kroupi is considered a more likely arrival at the Emirates Stadium, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown had been on Arsenal’s radar before Bayern Munich appeared to move ahead in that race.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have revived interest in Manchester City’s Savinho, and Newcastle are engaged in a separate pursuit of Swedish prospect Zadok Yohanna, with Chelsea also competing for the youngster.

Arsenal are also expected to trim their squad this summer, with Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus among those available for transfer. More established names including Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White and Leandro Trossard could also depart if the right offers materialise, with Trossard recently declining to make any firm commitment about his future when asked.
