PSG Sign 18-Year-Old Goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni from AC Milan
Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the signing of 18-year-old goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni, trained at AC Milan. The Italian goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract and will serve as third-choice keeper behind Safonov and Chevalier.
Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed their first summer signing: 18-year-old goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni, trained at AC Milan, has signed for five seasons until June 2031. The Parisian club have acquired the Lombard goalkeeper on a free transfer.
Longoni joins the Paris hierarchy as third-choice goalkeeper, behind Russian Matvey Safonov and Frenchman Lucas Chevalier. His arrival comes after Renato Marin’s loan departure to CD Nacional de Madère in Portugal, which left a vacancy in the squad.
In a club statement, the young goalkeeper expressed his gratitude to the Paris management: « I would first like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos and Luis Enrique, for the opportunity they have given me and for the confidence they have placed in me. I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain and I will continue to work as I always have in order to repay this confidence. »
Trained through the ranks of AC Milan, Longoni had not yet made the step into professional football under the Rossoneri colours. At 18 years old, he joins the two-time defending European champions with the ambition to develop in the shadow of two experienced goalkeepers.
