Paris Saint-Germain are targeting a combined €130 million deal for West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes, according to reports in France, as the reigning European champions look to capitalise on the Hammers’ relegation from the Premier League.

West Ham’s drop to the Championship ends an eight-year stay in the top flight and leaves the club needing to raise approximately £100 million in player sales to comply with Premier League and EFL financial fair play regulations — a situation PSG are reportedly ready to exploit.

Summerville, 24, has quickly emerged as one of the most coveted players in the summer window. Aston Villa and AS Roma had already been credited with interest in the Dutch winger, but PSG’s reported pursuit represents a significantly more ambitious destination. His explosiveness and direct running are said to be the primary factors driving Les Parisiens’ interest.

The timing of PSG’s move is no coincidence. Summerville was named in Ronald Koeman’s 26-man Netherlands squad for the World Cup and wasted little time justifying his selection, scoring his first senior international goal in the Group F opener against Japan. His left-footed strike restored the Oranje’s 2-1 lead in Arlington, Texas, and while the Netherlands were pegged back before the final whistle, his performance at Dallas Stadium has only amplified interest from clubs across Europe.

Summerville had previously impressed at Leeds United before joining West Ham, and despite the Hammers’ difficult relegation campaign, his individual quality was never seriously in question. That profile — a proven Premier League performer now showcasing himself on the World Cup stage — makes him an attractive proposition for any club looking to add pace and creativity to their attack.

With Champions League clubs including Aston Villa and Roma already circling, PSG will likely need to move decisively if they are to win the race for his signature. The inclusion of Fernandes in the reported package suggests the French champions see an opportunity to reshape their squad at scale while West Ham’s financial pressures limit the club’s negotiating position.
