Postecoglou joins Semra Hunter and Sam Matterface for New Zealand vs Egypt at World Cup 2026
ITV's coverage of New Zealand vs Egypt at BC Place in Vancouver features presenter Semra Hunter, pundits Ange Postecoglou and Jobi McAnuff, and lead commentator Sam Matterface alongside Lee Dixon. The Group G fixture could be the first to produce a winner after three successive draws.
ITV will broadcast New Zealand vs Egypt from BC Place in Vancouver, with the Group G clash kicking off at 6pm local time (2am UK). The game arrives after Belgium’s goalless draw with Iran left all four sides in the group still searching for a first win.
Semra Hunter leads the studio presentation. The Los Angeles-born broadcaster is a former Real Madrid TV presenter with extensive experience covering Spanish and Turkish football across major international tournaments.
Ange Postecoglou and Jobi McAnuff join Hunter as pundits. Postecoglou guided Australia to the 2014 World Cup and has since won trophies in Australia, Japan, Scotland and, most recently, the 2025 Europa League with Tottenham Hotspur. McAnuff brings a player’s perspective shaped by a lengthy career largely in the Championship — including helping Reading earn promotion to the Premier League in 2012 — and 32 caps for Jamaica.
Sam Matterface is ITV’s lead commentator at the stadium, with former Arsenal and England right-back Lee Dixon alongside him in the gantry. Dixon has been a regular presence in broadcast commentary booths since retiring from playing in 2002.
The match represents a pivotal moment in Group G. Belgium’s draw with Iran on Sunday extended a run of three consecutive stalemates in the group, meaning a victory for either New Zealand or Egypt would immediately separate the table and put genuine pressure on the two European sides.
