Parnasse targets Hooker's aggression as perfect launchpad for UFC Paris debut

Parnasse (23-2) headlines UFC Paris against Hooker, a matchup the French fighter has embraced rather than avoided. Despite acknowledging Hooker’s 12-year tenure in the UFC, Parnasse sees the stylistic fit as a gift rather than a threat.

“Dan Hooker is very strong, very experienced,” Parnasse said at the UFC Paris media day. “That’s why he is at the top of the UFC and I think he is a big challenge and I love this challenge. I think he is a very explosive guy who likes to do a lot in his fights. And I think that with me, it’s a perfect fight because we are both two guys who like to go out there and put on a great show in the cage.”

Parnasse arrives in the UFC carrying significant momentum. The former two-division KSW champion enters on a five-fight winning streak, with his most recent victory coming at Most Valuable Promotions’ inaugural MMA event. The 23-2 record and the hype surrounding his signing have positioned him as one of the more anticipated lightweight arrivals in recent memory.

Hooker, by contrast, is fighting to arrest a difficult run.
