Nike released on Thursday a six-minute advertising short film titled Rip The Script, bringing together its biggest global ambassadors days before the start of the 2026 World Cup. Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo, Vinicius and LeBron James are among the headliners of a cast that also includes Erling Haaland, Federico Valverde, Nico Williams, Cole Palmer and Bruno Fernandes.

It is Mbappé who opens the spot. The France captain appears in a Bleus kit on a film set, deliberately ignoring the director’s instructions. The camera then sweeps across the scene: Haaland is present, Kim Kardashian and Travis Scott observe the action, while Vinicius escapes with a dribble to a neighboring studio, followed by Raul Jimenez. Mbappé closes the sequence with a smirk.

The advertisement multiplies the cameos. Mbappé destroys a television set where Didier Drogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Cantona were discussing, the latter interrupted mid-shoot of a black-and-white film.

Cristiano Ronaldo appears only in the second half of the film, during a meeting with LeBron James and the spot’s producers. The Portuguese player grabs the ball and takes flight, before being tackled by Virgil van Dijk and thrown into a burning house. He emerges unscathed, set to Still D.R.E. by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. The film closes with all Nike players united for one final collective action.

The campaign comes a month after Adidas’s, which had featured Timothée Chalamet, Lamine Yamal and Jude Bellingham, with Lionel Messi and Bad Bunny as team owners, and appearances by Zinédine Zidane and Ousmane Dembélé.
