Manchester City travel to Old Trafford on Sunday to face Manchester United in the first derby of the 2024-25 Premier League season, with Enzo Maresca’s side arriving in M16 having won each of their opening three league games.

United, by contrast, head into the fixture on an inconsistent run of one win, one draw and one defeat, leaving the two clubs at opposite ends of the early-season table as local rivalry gives the match an added edge.

Both teams arrive at the derby having played their opening UEFA Champions League group-stage fixtures in midweek, adding a layer of fatigue and rotation considerations to Maresca’s and Erik ten Hag’s team selections.

The match kicks off at 4.30pm on Sunday.
