Maguire offered to Inter Milan as Arsenal, Liverpool and United eye summer moves
Manchester United have offered Harry Maguire to Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, while Arsenal are targeting Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Liverpool are among several clubs monitoring AC Milan's Rafael Leao, available for around £43m.
Manchester United have offered centre-back Harry Maguire to Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, though the Italian club are not believed to view the signing as a priority. Maguire, who missed out on England’s World Cup squad, appears surplus to requirements at Old Trafford as the club reshapes under newly appointed permanent manager Michael Carrick.
Carrick is expected to oversee a significant midfield overhaul, with United linked to Sandro Tonali and reported to be close to signing Atalanta’s Ederson as part of a broader rebuild.
Arsenal, fresh from a Champions League final defeat, are targeting Aston Villa and England midfielder Morgan Rogers. Manager Mikel Arteta is understood to want reinforcement at the No.10 position and on the left flank, with Rogers capable of filling both roles. PSG are also said to be interested, meaning the Gunners could face competition from a Champions League rival.
Liverpool are among a group of clubs — also including Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle — monitoring AC Milan winger Rafael Leao. The Portuguese international is expected to leave the San Siro this summer and could be available for as little as £43m, according to reports in Italy.
Liverpool are also navigating significant changes of their own after the departures of manager Arne Slot and defender Ibrahima Konate over the weekend. The club are reportedly in talks with Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola as their next head coach, with defensive reinforcement likely to be a priority under any incoming manager.
At Chelsea, Xabi Alonso is set to take charge and will look to put his own stamp on the squad. Meanwhile, Manchester City face a transitional summer following Pep Guardiola’s exit, with Bernardo Silva having departed and Enzo Maresca understood to be in line for the manager’s role.
