Liverpool make fresh move for Barcola as PSG star signals openness to Anfield switch
Liverpool have submitted a new approach for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, 23, who is reportedly tempted by a move to Anfield. PSG are willing to let him leave if he requests a transfer, though manager Luis Enrique has publicly insisted he wants to keep the France international.
Liverpool have made a fresh attempt to sign Bradley Barcola, with the Paris Saint-Germain forward said to be open to leaving the French champions for Anfield, according to French outlet Le10 Sport.
Barcola, 23, has emerged as a priority target as Liverpool look to rebuild their attack ahead of the 2026-27 season. The departure of Mohamed Salah and a long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike have left significant gaps in the forward line, while Cody Gakpo has also been linked with an exit following the sacking of Arne Slot, who has been replaced by Andoni Iraola.
Liverpool have already moved quickly in the transfer window, completing the signing of Victor Munoz in a £34 million deal and submitting an £86 million bid for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande — an offer that was swiftly rejected. Barcola represents another ambitious target on their list.
Le10 Sport report that Barcola is impressed by Liverpool’s project and excited by the prospect of playing in the Premier League. PSG, for their part, are willing to sanction his departure should he formally request a move, and have already identified potential replacements.
Arsenal have also been credited with interest in Barcola, who joined PSG from Lyon three years ago in a deal worth up to £43 million. He has since gone on to score 39 goals and provide 35 assists in 152 appearances for the club.
Barcola is currently on international duty with France at the 2026 World Cup, where he has made an immediate impact. He came off the bench to score in France’s 3-1 victory over Senegal — netting just two minutes after entering the pitch — before starting the 3-0 win against Iraq.
Despite the swirling speculation, PSG manager Luis Enrique has been unequivocal about his desire to retain the winger. “I have no doubt he’ll remain our player,” Enrique said last season. “We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he’s one of those young players we’ve been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years.”
Barcola himself has remained tight-lipped on his future, leaving the situation unresolved as Liverpool continue to press their case.
