Leipzig Rejects Liverpool's €100M Bid for Diomandé, PSG Remains in Contention
RB Leipzig has rejected Liverpool's €100 million offer (including bonuses) for 19-year-old Yan Diomandé. PSG, which has the financial resources, remains in the race to sign the Ivorian winger.
RB Leipzig has turned down Liverpool’s opening bid for Yan Diomandé, leaving Paris Saint-Germain in contention for the 19-year-old Ivorian winger.
According to Sky Germany, the Reds submitted a proposal of €90 million, plus €10 million in bonuses. The German club deemed this amount insufficient and is demanding a minimum of €100 million excluding bonuses to consider selling its player, who is under contract until June 30, 2030. Without such an offer, Leipzig would consider extending Diomandé’s contract by an additional season.
PSG, silent on the matter so far, therefore retains a genuine opportunity. The capital club has the financial resources to match German demands, and the player himself has not hidden his attraction to Paris. “It’s a team I’ve loved since I was young. I believe my father was a PSG supporter. It’s a team I admire,” he said at a press conference during the 2026 World Cup, where he represents Côte d’Ivoire.
Diomandé has established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s breakout stars this season, attracting the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs since the summer transfer window opened. The ball is now in PSG’s court, which will need to submit a firm offer to get ahead of English competition.
