Ibrahim Mbaye Targeted by Liverpool and Bayern Munich to Leave PSG

Ibrahim Mbaye could leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with Liverpool and Bayern Munich vying to recruit the 18-year-old Senegalese winger.

Like his teammate Bradley Barcola, Mbaye was not selected by Luis Enrique for the Trophée des champions against Lens or for the trip to Rennes in the Ligue 1 opener — a strong signal of deliberate sidelining. PSG is therefore looking to transfer him before the transfer window closes.

According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Bayern Munich has inquired about Mbaye’s profile, who would represent a quality backup for Michael Olise in the Bavarian left wing. But it is Liverpool who appear to hold the advantage: the player is said to have already reached a contractual agreement with the English club, which would have the necessary space to welcome two additional wingers in a squad deemed short at that position.

PSG, however, intends not to undersell the Senegalese international and is awaiting an offer that meets its requirements. The outcome of this matter therefore remains dependent on the suitors’ ability to satisfy the Parisians financially.

This saga follows that of Barcola, whose transfer to Liverpool is becoming clearer around a fee that could reach 140 million euros, bonuses included — which would constitute the biggest sale made by a Ligue 1 club abroad. Both matters are progressing in parallel, but nothing guarantees they will conclude in the same way or on the same timeline.
