Chelsea ended their three-match winless streak by crushing Bournemouth 5-1 on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the 6th round of the Premier League. The Blues erased a 2-2 draw against Hull City and a heavy 3-0 defeat at Brentford.

Jordan Henderson set the tone for the match from the start. In only his second league start of the season, the former Liverpool captain made an impact twice in three minutes: he scored in the 2nd minute, then set up Morgan Rogers in the 3rd. Henderson capped off his performance with a second goal in the 70th minute, securing a brace that illustrated his return to form.

Joao Pedro also scored a brace, in the 46th and 67th minutes, bringing the score to 5-0 before Evanilson salvaged some pride for the Cherries in the 51st. Bournemouth, despite the goal, never looked capable of turning the tide.

In the standings, Chelsea climbed to fifth place, level with Brentford. The latter shared the points at Aston Villa (2-2). Brighton, for its part, continued its excellent start to the season by winning away at Sunderland (0-2), thanks to goals from Maxim de Cuyper (53rd) and Jaouen Hadjam (90+3).

In the lower reaches of the table, Fulham remains without a win after their defeat at Ipswich (2-1). The Cottagers were still leading 1-0 in the 88th minute before collapsing late in the match, a cruel outcome that keeps them in a precarious situation.
