Mika Godts makes his third start in seven days with the Red Devils: the PSG winger is deployed on the Belgian left wing for the home match against Turkey, this Friday evening at Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liège, under the command of Mark van Bommel.

The 21-year-old player, recruited by PSG for €45 million after making his mark at Ajax, is enjoying a remarkable international window. He scored his first goal for his country in the match against Italy, before proving dangerous on several occasions against France last Monday in Brussels. His performance earns him a place in the starting XI, alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Charles De Ketelaere, who are also retained.

At club level, Godts is still seeking consistency: six substitute appearances at PSG since his arrival, for just one decisive goal across all competitions. On the international stage, the picture is more flattering.

On the right wing, Dodi Lukébakio takes the place of Diego Moreira. Players such as Romelu Lukaku, Loïs Openda, Leandro Trossard and Malick Fofana will have to wait to return to the starting XI. Van Bommel is not expected to make major changes ahead of the next fixture: Belgium face France again, coached by Zinédine Zidane, next Monday in Saint-Denis.

Several key players are also making their third consecutive start: goalkeeper Senne Lammens, the centre-back pairing Brandon Mechele-Nathan Ngoy, full-back Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans.

Belgium starting XI: Lammens – Castagne, Mechele, Ngoy, De Cuyper – Vanaken, Tielemans – Lukébakio, De Bruyne, Godts – De Ketelaere.
