England and Nike unveil retro-inspired Energy Top ahead of 2026 World Cup
England and Nike have launched a '90s-inspired lifestyle shirt as part of the new Energy Pack range. The blue Energy Top, priced at £69.99, will not be worn during the 2026 World Cup but has already drawn mixed reactions from supporters.
England and Nike have released a retro-style lifestyle shirt ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, though the garment will not feature in the tournament itself. The England Nike Energy Top is part of a broader Energy Pack lifestyle range and went on sale this week priced at £69.99.
The blue shirt draws on 1990s football aesthetics, featuring bold Nike branding and an all-over graphic print incorporating England imagery. Nike describes the design as bringing “vintage football culture into the modern day”, and the top is constructed with Dri-FIT technology in a relaxed retro fit.
The Energy Pack extends beyond the shirt. The range also includes the England Nike Energy Jacket (£89.99), which carries a red, white and blue pattern with “ENGLAND” printed across the back above the Nike swoosh, and the matching England Nike Energy Pants (£79.99), which display the national team crest on the right leg.
Reaction among supporters has been divided. Some praised the design on social media, with one fan writing on X: “Beautiful kit. The best so far.” Others were less convinced, with one post simply reading: “The state of that.” A third supporter offered a more nuanced take: “The sizing feels really great. Above all, the colour is incredibly beautiful.”
The release comes with England’s opening World Cup match now just days away, giving the kit a timely platform even if it remains a lifestyle piece rather than a matchday strip.
