Victoria Beckham became an unlikely talking point at the FIFA World Cup after footage of her motionless reaction to Jude Bellingham’s match-winning brace against Norway spread rapidly across social media. While husband David and three of their children — Romeo, Cruz, and Harper — celebrated wildly in their private box at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Victoria remained entirely composed as England sealed a semi-final place.

The contrast was impossible to miss. As the Beckham family’s limbs flew in celebration around her, Victoria sat largely unmoved, prompting fans to label the moment “classic Posh Spice.” One supporter wrote online: “She wasn’t interested in the slightest. Just there for the photos.” Another added: “Classic VB — she can’t even crack a smile when England are winning in the World Cup.”

American comedian Jenny Johnson amplified the moment further, sharing images on Instagram with pointed sarcasm. “There’s nothing like cheering your heart out for England from home, then they cut to Victoria, and we see that classic Posh Spice smile,” Johnson wrote. “It’s so infectious! Each time I see her I shout, ‘SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!!!!’”

David Beckham spotted the comment and stepped in to defend his wife. “She was celebrating inside I promise,” he wrote, adding a laughing emoji. “Her reactions were slightly slower than mine.”

Bellingham’s double secured England’s place in the last four, with Argentina — a nation well known to Beckham from his playing days — now standing between the Three Lions and the final. David later posted a family photo on Instagram, writing: “What a moment in Miami. I’m so proud of the team tonight reaching the semi-final of the World Cup and to celebrate with my family was so special.”

Victoria’s appearance at the quarter-final came against the backdrop of a reported estrangement from eldest son Brooklyn, who featured in a World Cup advertisement that some interpreted as a veiled dig at his parents.
