Campos wants third consecutive Champions League title for PSG

Luis Campos did not wait for the final match to think ahead. PSG’s sporting adviser revealed it in the Portuguese podcast Football Summit: from the Budapest final onwards, when the club had just claimed a back-to-back in the Champions League, he was already thinking about a third consecutive title.

“Two titles are unforgettable moments for everyone at the club,” he said. “I remember an image of me at the end of the match in Budapest, where I was already passing on the message: after the back-to-back, we had to immediately think about the back-to-back-to-back!”

This statement comes in the context of a mixed start to the season for Paris. While the club secured the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa, made a successful Champions League debut against Slovan Bratislava and achieved a prestigious victory at Marseille in the league, Luis Enrique’s team has struggled to fully convince after a month of competition.

Campos nonetheless dismisses any risk of complacency. “I hope and I feel that the hunger is still there,” he asserts. “The desire to work together and prioritize the collective is still very much present at the club. That’s why I believe that, at the very least, if we don’t win, we will still be candidates for victory this season.”

The message is clear: the reigning double European champions have no intention of merely defending their crown, but rather of establishing PSG in a dynamic of sustained dominance on the continental stage.
