TV Globo presenter Everaldo Marques came within a button of exposing his full chest to millions of viewers during Brazil’s 3-0 victory over Scotland in Miami, turning a sweat-soaked broadcast into one of the more memorable moments of the 2026 World Cup.

Marques, a well-known face for the Brazilian broadcaster, was visibly struggling with Miami’s oppressive conditions as the camera found him fanning himself with his match notes, his blue shirt already marked with sweat patches. The ambient temperature sat at 34°C, but high humidity pushed the feels-like reading to around 43°C — conditions that tested everyone at the Florida venue.

The moment escalated when co-commentator Maestro Junior, a former Brazilian international, was caught laughing at Marques’ sweat patches while they were on air. Marques fired back: “You’re laughing, right Maestro? You’re completely dry… for now!” Junior then pointed out that things could have been worse had Marques not been wearing an undershirt.

That observation prompted Marques to undo several buttons to reveal a damp white vest beneath — only he undid one too many, coming close to revealing his full chest to the broadcast audience. “Look at this! It’s not doing any good at all!” he told viewers as his colleague dissolved into laughter beside him.

On the pitch, Brazil had little trouble with the heat. Vinicius Junior scored twice in the first half before Matheus Cunha added a third in the 60th minute to seal a comfortable 3-0 win. Carlo Ancelotti’s side topped Group C ahead of Morocco, Scotland and Haiti, and will face Japan in the round of 32.
