Barcola requests PSG exit as Liverpool and Arsenal circle £60m winger
Bradley Barcola has reportedly asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, alerting Liverpool and Arsenal to the availability of the 23-year-old France international, who is valued at around £60million.
Bradley Barcola has reportedly requested a transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, handing a significant boost to Liverpool and Arsenal in their pursuit of the 23-year-old France international.
PSG are believed to value Barcola at around £60million, and reports earlier this week suggested the Ligue 1 club would be open to selling him ahead of the new season. Barcola is contracted at the Parc des Princes until the summer of 2028, making this summer a pivotal moment for both player and club to resolve his future.
The versatile forward made 49 appearances for PSG last season, scoring 13 goals across all competitions, including two in the Champions League — a competition PSG have won in each of the last two seasons, with Barcola playing a key role in both triumphs.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in signing Barcola, though it remains unclear at this stage which club, if either, holds a concrete advantage in any potential pursuit.
PSG head coach Luis Enrique previously made his preference clear. “Bradley Barcola’s future? I have no doubt he’ll remain our player,” Enrique said. “We like the fact that our players are interesting to other clubs. But he’s one of those young players we’ve been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years.”
Barcola is not the only wide forward on Liverpool’s radar this summer. RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande has also been frequently linked with Anfield, where new manager Andoni Iraola — who replaced Arne Slot earlier this month — will be looking to shape his squad.
Arsenal are similarly active in the market for attacking reinforcements, with Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi and Aston Villa playmaker Morgan Rogers among the names understood to interest the Gunners.
