Aubameyang scores but La Corogne held to draw at Malaga
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his second goal in two Segunda División matches, opening the scoring at Malaga (21st minute), before Chupe equalized from the penalty spot (34th minute). La Corogne remain on two consecutive draws.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the net again with Deportivo La Corogne, but his goal was not enough to avoid another share of the points. The former Marseille striker opened the scoring in the 21st minute on Malaga’s ground, in a clash between two Segunda División promoted sides.
The Andalusians replied through Chupe, who equalized from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, bringing both teams level at 1-1 at half-time. The score did not change, and the two teams parted on this result.
For La Corogne, this draw is the second consecutive in as many matchdays: the Galician club had already shared the points on the opening day against Elche (1-1). Despite Aubameyang’s immediate impact — two goals in two matches — the team has yet to secure their first win of the season.
