Arsenal installed as 5/4 Premier League title favourites as Newcastle top relegation betting
Bookmaker Betway has priced Arsenal as the 5/4 outright favourites to win the 2026/27 Premier League title, with Manchester City at 7/2 and Liverpool at 6/1. Newcastle have attracted 31 per cent of all relegation bets despite not being the shortest-priced team to go down.
Arsenal head into the 2026/27 Premier League season as the bookmakers’ title favourites, with Betway pricing Mikel Arteta’s side at 5/4 to lift the trophy. Manchester City are second in the market at 7/2, ahead of Liverpool at 6/1, despite City navigating an off-season without Pep Guardiola.
Among punters placing bets this summer, Arsenal are also the most popular pick, attracting 20 per cent of all title wagers. Manchester City follow closely with 18 per cent of the betting volume, underlining that the market still views them as genuine contenders under new management.
Manchester United are priced at 7/1 for the title, with Chelsea close behind at 8/1 following a busy summer transfer window. Tottenham are considered distant outsiders at 20/1.
On the top-four market, Arsenal are considered a near-certainty at 1/10 to secure a Champions League place, with City at 1/4 and Liverpool at 1/2. United (4/6) and Chelsea (5/6) are the primary candidates for the remaining spots, while Tottenham at 3/1 and Aston Villa at 4/1 face stiffer tests. Brighton are listed as dark horses at 12/1.
At the other end of the table, newly promoted Hull City are the odds-on relegation favourites at 1/6 for an immediate return to the Championship. Coventry City are priced at 8/13 and Ipswich Town at 4/6, with both clubs considered deeply at risk.
Sunderland (11/4) and Fulham (5/1) complete the list of clubs most in danger of dropping into the second tier.
The most striking trend in the relegation market, however, concerns Newcastle. Despite not being the shortest-priced team to go down, the Magpies have attracted 31 per cent of all relegation bets placed this summer — more than any other club. A difficult pre-season and a transfer window that has left supporters concerned appear to be driving that volume of money.
