Amorim handed six-month ban after testing positive for ostarine contamination
UFC strawweight Jaqueline Amorim has accepted a six-month suspension after Combat Sports Anti-Doping found low levels of ostarine in two out-of-competition samples. Investigators determined the exposure was unintentional and provided no meaningful performance advantage.
UFC strawweight Jaqueline Amorim has been suspended for six months after testing positive for ostarine, a prohibited anabolic agent, in two out-of-competition samples collected in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) announced the sanction on Friday, confirming Amorim had accepted the ban.
Ostarine was detected in samples taken on July 29, 2026, and August 17, 2026. Because both tests stemmed from the same exposure window, CSAD combined them into a single violation rather than treating them as separate offences.
The investigation found no evidence of deliberate doping. CSAD determined that Amorim’s results were consistent with low-level contamination and concluded that the substance did not provide her “with any significant performance advantage.” Her full cooperation with the process was also noted by the anti-doping body.
The suspension was backdated to August 17, the date Amorim was notified of her provisional ban, and is set to expire on February 17, 2027.
Amorim last competed at UFC Macau on May 30, where she submitted Loma Lookboonme via first-round armbar. With the ban running from mid-August, she will be eligible to return to competition in time for events early in 2027.
