Former NBA power forward Michael Beasley stopped Delonte West via first-round TKO in a heavyweight boxing match at Brand Risk 16 in Miami on Friday night, using a significant height and reach advantage to control the bout throughout.
Michael Beasley stopped Delonte West by first-round TKO in a heavyweight boxing match at Brand Risk 16 in Miami, Florida on Friday night, settling a rivalry that stretches back to their days together in the NBA and the Chinese Basketball Association.
Beasley, a former power forward standing 6-foot-10, held a significant size advantage over West, the former point guard who stands 6-foot-3, and used his reach to keep West at distance for much of the fight. West attempted to close the gap with charging haymakers, landing one clean punch, but was unable to sustain the pressure. He eventually fell to the canvas after absorbing several short shots and stumbling backward, failing to beat the referee’s 10-count.
Neither man displayed polished boxing technique, but Beasley’s physical advantages proved decisive. West appeared to tire himself out with his aggressive, wild approach before the stoppage came.
In the aftermath, West spoke with the ring announcer while still visibly shaken, making a reference to Narcan — the opioid antagonist that was administered to him after he was found unconscious by police officers in Virginia in 2024.
For Beasley, the victory marks his second appearance under the Brand Risk banner run by streamer Adin Ross. He previously competed at Brand Risk 14 in May, where he took part in an MMA bout against Lance Stephenson.
