All 26 fighters on the UFC Baku card made weight in Azerbaijan on Friday, clearing the path for Saturday’s event headlined by a ranked lightweight clash between Rafael Fiziev and Manuel Torres. Both men hit the 156-pound limit for the non-title bout, with Fiziev competing in front of a home crowd in Baku.

Fiziev, representing Azerbaijan, faces Torres in what shapes up as a pivotal divisional matchup. Torres has been building momentum as a contender, and a win over the hometown fighter would significantly strengthen his lightweight credentials.

In the co-main event, fan favourite Shara “Bullet” Magomedov weighed in at 186 pounds ahead of his middleweight contest with Michel Pereira, who came in at 185.5 pounds. The pairing of two high-action fighters has drawn considerable attention heading into fight night.

The full main card weigh-in results were as follows: Rafael Fiziev (156) vs. Manuel Torres (156); Shara Magomedov (186) vs. Michel Pereira (185.5); Nazim Sadykhov (156) vs. Matheus Camilo (156); Asu Almabayev (126) vs. Charles Johnson (125.5); Ikram Aliskerov (186) vs. Brunno Ferreira (185); Abus Magomedov (185.5) vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk (186).

On the preliminary card, all fighters also made weight: Farman Hasanov (170.5) vs. Eric Nolan (170.5); Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev (206) vs. Julius Walker (206); Nursulton Ruziboev (186) vs. Andrey Pulyaev (186); Kaan Ofli (146) vs. Javier Reyes (145.5); Daniil Donchenko (170.5) vs. Theodor Berggren (171); Bekzat Almakhan (136) vs. Jean Matsumoto (135.5); Tahir Abdullayev (170.5) vs. Jefferson Nascimento (171).

Saturday’s card marks one of the UFC’s rare events staged in Azerbaijan, with Fiziev’s presence in the main event giving the promotion a local draw in the region.
