Zidane as France coach: Téléfoot dedicates special feature to him on return
Less than a month before his first matches in charge of the French national team, Zinédine Zidane will be the centerpiece of Téléfoot this Sunday, with a special feature dedicated to his appointment.
Zinédine Zidane will be the main attraction of Téléfoot’s return this Sunday, with the show dedicating a special feature to him as he begins his tenure, just weeks before the new France coach’s first matches with the Bleus. The show will now start at 10:50 a.m., ten minutes earlier than before, to offer more reports without commercial breaks. The schedule will be oriented 90% toward Ligue 1, with six weekend matches already played by the time of broadcast — compared to four in previous seasons. This first episode will feature stories on Fabian Ruiz, on Paris FC, as well as coverage of PSG-Monaco, Lens-Lorient and Toulouse-Lille. Margotton describes this extension as “a nice complement,” where images from the first part will give way to commentary, opinions and analysis.
However, Zidane’s arrival on the France bench is the major event of the season’s return. “We want to see the Bleus again and Zizou is the magnificent golden ribbon on the gift package,” Margotton says. The presenter also notes that the new coach will participate in the show’s remote broadcasts from Clairefontaine, as his predecessor Didier Deschamps did.
