Elye Wahi will rejoin OGC Nice. According to RMC Sport and L’Équipe, an agreement has been reached between Nice and Eintracht Frankfurt for a one-year loan of the Ivorian international, with a purchase option valued at €15 million. The striker is expected to arrive in Nice on Monday to undergo his medical examination and finalize the remaining details of the deal.
Wahi had already worn the Nice shirt during the second half of last season, loaned by Frankfurt for six months. His spell proved decisive: the former Marseille player scored 9 goals in 19 appearances, including a brace in the second leg playoff against Saint-Étienne (4-1), directly contributing to the Eagles’ survival in Ligue 1.
Returning to Frankfurt at the end of that loan, the 22-year-old striker did not take long to reconnect with the Côte d’Azur. His return to the Gym is a continuation of an already proven relationship, with Nice clearly deciding to rely on his knowledge of the club and squad to approach the new season.
