Last Friday, during the friendly match against Atlético Madrid at the Vélodrome (1-2), sporting director Grégory Lorenzi himself acknowledged the fragility of the situation: “We are constrained by the DNCG. We must sell players before we can complete new arrivals.” He had nonetheless assured that the club was working “tirelessly every day” to unlock the transfer market. The two ongoing deals seem to indicate that efforts are beginning to bear fruit.
