Real Betis are interested in Ethan Mbappé and are considering making an offer this summer, according to specialist outlet Fichajes. LOSC, who have the player under contract until June 2027, have reportedly set their asking price at €12 million — a sum the Andalusian club would not be prepared to refuse.

Arriving on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in summer 2024, at the same time as his brother Kylian, Ethan Mbappé has shown genuine quality in spells since joining Lille. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has, however, seen his progress hampered by recurring injuries, which have prevented him from stringing together matches and establishing himself permanently in the northern club’s starting XI.

This context has not dampened Betis’s interest, a club that had already monitored the Montreuil native two years ago. Manager Manuel Pellegrini would particularly appreciate his profile and versatility, and the Seville club would now be ready to act. Betis, qualified for next season’s UEFA Champions League just like LOSC, would offer Mbappé a European platform comparable to the one he currently enjoys in the north.

Lille’s management are not actively seeking to part with the player, but the €12 million price signals that a departure is not ruled out if the right conditions are met. The final decision will largely rest with Ethan Mbappé himself: join Spain, where his brother Kylian now plays for Real Madrid, or stay at Lille to finally attempt a full season without injury.
