Raphinha and De Jong return to group training ahead of Barça-PSG
Absent since the international break, Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong rejoined FC Barcelona's group training on Thursday, less than a week before the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong took part in FC Barcelona’s group training on Thursday, according to Catalan media Sport, bringing a wave of optimism ahead of a decisive week for the Blaugrana.
The Brazilian winger had left the Seleção gathering with a right thigh injury and missed Saturday’s Liga victory against Getafe (3-0). Hansi Flick then chose to take no risks by leaving him out of Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Galatasaray, a match Barcelona won to extend their winning streak to ten consecutive victories across all competitions. De Jong, also sidelined in recent days, has followed the same path to recovery.
Their return comes at the perfect time: Barcelona travel to Real Betis on Saturday in La Liga, before hosting PSG next Tuesday in the Champions League. Five days later, the Catalans will face Real Madrid in the Clasico, making this sequence one of the most demanding of their season.
