Rabiot deflects corner kick and doubles Milan's lead in the derby
Adrien Rabiot scored AC Milan's second goal against Inter in the 10th minute of the Madonnina derby, deflecting a corner-kick delivery with his left foot. Pulisic had opened the scoring in the 4th minute.
Adrien Rabiot put AC Milan in command of the Madonnina derby in the 10th minute on Saturday, deflecting a corner-kick delivery with his left foot — without control, pure touch — to make it 2-0 against Inter Milan in Serie A.
The Rossoneri had already struck hard: Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the 4th minute, launching a blistering start for the hosts. Rabiot’s goal, the French international midfielder signed on a free transfer last summer, confirmed Milan’s dominance in the first half.
Inter responded through Alessandro Bastoni, who reduced the deficit with a header in the 23rd minute (2-1). The Nerazzurri remained in the match despite a catastrophic start.
This clash pitted Serie A leaders AC Milan against Inter, fifth in the standings before kick-off. The Rossoneri had not lost to their rivals since April 22, 2024, a streak that illustrates their ability to resist Inter even during seasons of great dominance by the defending champions.
