PSG extends Parias Cohortis ban after failure to meet conditions
Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed the continued exclusion of Parias Cohortis, an 80-member section of the Collectif Ultras Paris, banned since a violent altercation in April on the A11 motorway. The group failed to meet the club's conditions for readmission to Parc des Princes.
Paris Saint-Germain has decided to maintain the exclusion of Parias Cohortis for the entire current season, depriving this group of 80 ultras of all access to Parc des Princes and away travel.
The section, part of the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), was banned last spring after being involved in a violent altercation between Paris supporters that occurred in April at a rest area on the A11 motorway in Sarthe, during the trip to Angers.
To hope to return to the Auteuil stand, Parias Cohortis had to satisfy two conditions set by the club’s management: separate from their most vocal members and accept a repositioning in the stadium’s sections. According to Agence France Presse, the club concluded upon recently reviewing the file that “they had not respected the sine qua non condition that had been set within a specific timeframe”.
The exclusion, initially temporary, thus takes on a lasting character, at least until the end of the season. PSG leaves no room for negotiation with Parias Cohortis, whose return to Parc des Princes remains suspended on commitments that the group has, at this stage, not honored.
