PFL Africa brings first North Africa card to Casablanca with six semifinal bouts on October 10
The Professional Fighters League will stage PFL Africa 3: 2026 Playoffs at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca on October 10, with semifinal bouts across bantamweight, welterweight and lightweight divisions, plus a heavyweight main event between Abdoulaye Kane and Badr Medkouri.
The Professional Fighters League will make its North African debut on October 10, staging PFL Africa 3: 2026 Playoffs at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca — the promotion’s first event on the continent’s northern edge.
Six semifinal bouts will determine finalists across three weight classes, with winners advancing to the PFL Africa Finals later in 2026. Fighters representing nine African nations are on the card, underlining the breadth of the continent-wide series PFL has been building.
The heavyweight main event pits Senegal’s Abdoulaye Kane (5-2) against Morocco’s Badr Medkouri (9-3). Kane has finished all five of his professional victories — four by knockout and one by submission — while Medkouri has recorded eight knockouts across his nine wins, making for a compelling all-stoppage-specialist matchup on home soil for the Moroccan.
In the bantamweight co-main event, unbeaten Algerian-Canadian Karim Henniene (7-0) takes on Nigeria’s Raphael Uchegbu (11-2). Henniene submitted his opponent in the first round at PFL Africa: Nigeria in June; Uchegbu earned a unanimous decision on the same card. Liberia’s Dwight Joseph (16-3) faces Angola’s Boule Godogo (5-2) in the other bantamweight semifinal.
The welterweight bracket features Angola’s Shido Boris Esperanca (12-2) against South Africa’s Peace Nguphane (9-3), and Guinea-Bissau’s Rivaldo Pereira (4-2) against unbeaten Nigerian David Samuel (6-0).
The lightweight division offers an all-Nigerian semifinal between Patrick Ocheme (9-1) and Cornel Thompson (12-3), alongside Senegal’s Demba Seck (11-3) against Chad’s Hussain Al Kurdi (3-0).
PFL Africa general manager Elias Schulze signalled that Casablanca is one stop on a broader continental ambition. “We’re looking to go to all four corners of the continent,” he said.
