Paris supporters will not make the trip to Vélodrome on September 20. The Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture has published an order banning any person “claiming the status of Paris Saint-Germain supporter” from parking or circulating in Marseille’s city center and around the Orange Vélodrome stadium. The Interior Ministry is to publish a travel ban order in the week preceding the match.

This decision comes as no surprise: since 2015, no Paris supporter has been authorized to attend a Classique in Marseille. The opening match of the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season will be no exception.

The match has been classified at level 5 out of 5 by the National Division for the Fight Against Hooliganism (DNLH), the maximum risk level, which justifies the deployment of enhanced security measures around the Phocaean stadium.
