Olise ready to leave Bayern for Real Madrid, record transfer looming
According to Foot Mercato, Michael Olise has signalled his desire to join Real Madrid this summer. Bayern Munich, unwilling to sell, acknowledges that a departure remains possible in the event of an exceptional offer.
Michael Olise wants to join Real Madrid this summer, according to Foot Mercato. The 24-year-old French international, who arrived at Bayern Munich two years ago, is said to have expressed his wishes to the Madrid board, who would be ready to table a record offer to attract him.
According to the same source, Olise believes a transfer to the Spanish capital would represent the ideal next step in his career progression. Real Madrid, aware of this favourable disposition, is considering exceeding its usual standards to complete the deal.
On Bayern Munich’s side, the official position remains firm: the club does not wish to part with its playmaker and would even like to offer him a contract extension. The German champions nevertheless admit that a departure “remains possible in the event of an exceptional offer” and are said to have already “made contact with several players capable of replacing him”, a sign that the scenario of a sale is being seriously considered internally.
These revelations come the day after France’s elimination in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup against Spain (2-0), in which Olise featured among the Blues.
