Mbappé wins 2026 Onze d'Or with 48% of votes, one week before Ballon d'Or
Top scorer in La Liga, UEFA Champions League and World Cup, Kylian Mbappé was overwhelmingly backed by Onze Mondial magazine readers, far ahead of Joao Neves and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kylian Mbappé won the 2026 Onze d’Or, awarded by Onze Mondial magazine, collecting 48.2% of votes from internet users and readers. The announcement was made on Monday, exactly one week before the Ballon d’Or ceremony scheduled for October 26 in London.
The Real Madrid forward imposed himself thanks to a dominant 2025-2026 season: top scorer in La Liga, the UEFA Champions League and the World Cup, the France captain crushed the competition. Behind him, PSG midfielder Joao Neves comes in second place with 11.9%, followed by his teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (10.8%). Lamine Yamal (9.7%), Ousmane Dembélé (7.5%), Harry Kane (4.4%), Michael Olise (2.9%), Vitinha (2.8%), Declan Rice (1.1%), Bruno Fernandes (0.7%) and William Saliba (0.0%) complete the ranking.
“I wanted to thank everyone who voted for me to win this trophy. It means a lot to me. The work continues,” Mbappé said when receiving the award.
By receiving this distinction, the Bondy native joins a roll of honour that includes Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Éric Cantona, Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Antoine Griezmann, Karim Benzema and Ousmane Dembélé — his immediate predecessor on the list. The Madrid player now aims for the Ballon d’Or on October 26, football’s supreme individual award.
